Healthy Cleveland's Behavioral Health Committee

The mission of the Behavioral Health Committee is to establish public awareness and knowledge to promote understanding and acceptance of behavioral health concepts and increase utilization of behavioral health resources.

Whether you're interested in learning more about behavioral health, reducing behavioral health stigma, or getting help for behavioral health issues, you'll find some valuable information here.

K2/Spice Awareness Campaign

Thanks to the CareSource Foundation grant, the committee will be launching a public awareness campaign about the issue of the use of K2/Spice, or synthetic marijuana, and the dangerous and potentially deadly effects of it. Be on the lookout for this campaign in 2017!

How we aim to achieve our mission:

  1. Reduce stigma associated with behavioral health.

  2. Educate community members on the support services available for behavioral health needs.

  3. Monitor and develop strategies to address emerging behavioral health concerns.

  4. Improve reporting standards for medical providers in relation to overdoses in Cleveland.
