You're invited to the 2018 Sustainable Cleveland Summit!
Together, We're Building a Thriving Green City on a Blue Lake
Now in its 10th year, the 2018 Sustainable Cleveland Summit will bring together more than 500 people to help design Cleveland's sustainable future. The Summit provides an opportunity to work across sectors to strengthen existing initiatives, foster collaboration, and learn about recent innovations.
Each year we have a sustainability theme, with 2018 serving as the “Year of Vital Neighborhoods” in Cleveland. The 2018 Summit is also special because it is the last one before June 22, 2019 – the 50th anniversary of the infamous Cuyahoga River fire.
The Summit will begin on Thursday, September 20th at 2:00pm with remarks from Mayor Frank G. Jackson and Matt Gray (Chief of Sustainability) on the state of Sustainable Cleveland, a keynote presentation and awards, and an opportunity for everyone to contribute your story to the initiative's culmination in 2019.
September 21st will be a full day of visioning, design, and action planning focused on:
Neighborhood-level sustainability and equity;
Advancing the newly updated Cleveland Climate Action Plan;
Supporting businesses to tell their own sustainability story; and
Focusing on what we can accomplish by June 22, 2019, the 50-year anniversary of the infamous Cuyahoga River fire.
We thank the Summit sponsors not only for making this event possible, but for being great partners in sustainability. For more information on our sponsors, the Summit, and Sustainable Cleveland 2019, visit
