From March - November of each year, the Cleveland Dept. of Public Health @ J. Glen Smith Health Center partners with the Greater Cleveland Foodbank in receiving over 6000 pounds of produce each month to distribute to the community at large. We are considered a "Food is Medicine" site in which we have nursing students who take blood pressures, glucose and cholesterol readings (as available); food demos, managed care agency tables, community agency tables, community agency participation by volunteering which includes our partnership with the Greater Cleveland Volunteer Association!
