Forum Focus: Cost of Cancer & Access to Care
This event will focus on the cancer patient’s current ability to find a health plan that covers the therapies they need at a cost they can afford, while also examining current trends in plan benefit designs. The discussion will include key stakeholders from throughout the oncology community, including leaders in business, academia, public policy, patient advocacy, provider groups, as well as other key stakeholders. ACS CAN will use this event to help illustrate and answer the following:

-Patient expectations about access to cancer therapies under their health coverage
-Current trends in coverage of cancer therapies under private health plans
-Current trends in patient costs for cancer therapies covered under their health plan
-Current issues around transparency of drug coverage under a health plan
-Utilization management of cancer medications impact on patient access
-State legislation and regulations to improve access to cancer therapies
